Traditional cooking classes, you will be surprised both by the professional side as the friendly side of Pat’s family. She will teach you traditional methods of creating Thai culinary masterpieces in a completely hands-on learning environment, all in the comfort of her stylish home where you can even enjoy a stroll through her lush tropical garden after your meal.

From the preparation of the ingredients right through the cooking process, to the best part – the eating – you will experience it all first hand. Pat even gives you easy to follow recipes and a certificate upon completion!

 

 

After lunch, enjoy swimming and relaxing, then depart to the elephant sanctuary in the surrounding jungle will allow you to discover the flora and fauna of this splendid ecosystem. Then let yourself be enchanted by a snake show and admire snake charmers dancing with dangerous and fascinating cobras. Back to reality and visit of the Royal Navy Ship to give you an overview of what happened during the Tsunami in December 2004. On the end of the afternoon, we will visit the turtle sanctuary. Free time and transfer back to your hotel in the afternoon.

 

With her extensive knowledge of both eastern and western cuisine, Pat can even suggest ingredients that may be difficult to locate in your home country and alternatives, which could be substituted so that flavor and authenticity are not compromised. You can enjoy learning the art of Thai cooking and then savor it at home with your family and friends – it will be a ‘souvenir’ that you cherish for a lifetime from your trip to Thailand.

 

All classes are tailored to your desires:

 

Intimate classes for 2 or a small group of up to 8 friends. Whether you are a novice cook or a professional chef, Pat will design the course around your needs.

Normal Class (09.30 a.m. - 1.30 p.m.) Be held in Pat’s home near Phuket city in her airy, western-style kitchen.

Pat's stylish home where you can participate in either morning or evening classes and stay in B&B accommodation
This of course comes with the added bonus of a morning trip to the local markets to select the freshest ingredients for your class later in the day.

 

Pat will take you with her on a journey to remember, teaching you how to select the best ingredients and describing the different properties of all the wonderfully aromatic herbs and spices that make Thai cuisine so deliciously unique.

 

Private Class (4.30 p.m. - 7.30 p.m.) For an exquisitely different experience you can also elect to take a private dining class ;

Option A - at Pat's home in Phuket city.

Option B - at Pat’s Balinese/Thai-style bungalow, located on a mountain high above Phuket city with breath-taking 180 degree views of Phuket and the Andaman Sea.

 

Enjoy an intimate dinner by candlelight whilst soaking in the ambiance of this jungle hideaway. You can bring your own beverages or Pat has a selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to compliment your meal.

 

 

Fruit Carving Class (09.00 a.m. - 12.00 a.m.)

For those who want to learn the art of Thai cooking indepth, there are classes available in traditional Thai fruit and vegetable carving. Advanced training courses can also be arranged as well as courses for group tours, sporting teams or business conferences (great as a team building exercise).

Pat’s bed and breakfast accommodation is only 950 baht pp/night or 1,000 baht/couple. Pat’s Balinese/Thai-style mountain bungalow, can be rented at 1000 baht/night which includes the exclusive use of the two bedroom house and its magnificent natural surrounds.
